Zavinski Strikes!

February 6, 2006

GLEN ALLEN, VA — Scott Zavinski, who one week ago was just another player in the field, struck the tournament with a monsterous week of golf vaulting up the 2006 Virtual Tournament Leaderboard into a commanding first place lead.

"Scott is a quiet, but deadly type of guy," says Matt Davis, a.k.a. Pokey. "It would be nice to be Scott Zavinski for just one day. I would relish the moment."

Zavinski has scored 40+ points over his last 6 rounds. This includes his best round of the short season coming Friday when he scored 49 points.

"Things are starting to come together," says Zavinski. "There is no reason to downplay my recent dominance. Why can't someone from Richmond win this thing? I owe it to my wife and kids to do more than just wasting time playing golf."

Zavinski takes over first position from Mike Herron. Scott holds the lead by a monsterous 6.4 points per round. Jean Dore plummets this season holding last position by 9.8 points per round.
