Early Winter Start
February 13, 2006
BADEN, PA — A rookie Eugene Faiella is expected to tee it up this season with flair in the 2006 Virtual Tournament. A Faiella that has regained his passion for the golf and already hitting the links in Pennsylvania.
"I have always enjoyed being in the hunt," says Faiella. "But, this year is not starting off very well and getting things going is my primary objective. My round last week was very poor and nearly reached the bottom of my career, but my feelings towards golf have nearly reached the top."
Eugene opened the season with a dismal 25 points. He returned to Beaver Valley Golf Club to shoot 33 and 35 points respectively.
"I just want to play golf," says Faiella with a smile. "I remember the days when I would kick Fustich's ass", says a day dreaming Faiella. "I cannot believe my game cannot overcome that outside-in swing path. This mild winter is a good setting to better my game and take control of Robby and the tournament."
The 2006 Virtual Tournament began on January 1. Scott Zavinski has opened the lead in the season-long tournament into a 9.2 point lead.
