Shooting 203-over Par

May 4, 2002

WILLIAMSBURG, VA — Rick Dosky, CFO, taking full advantage of his triple bogey sweapstakes, shot a 204-over par 492 in the Carl Spackler Open Championship.  Dosky also carded 22 long putt points in Round 3 and Round 4 and scored 71 points.

"I started in last group and there was no doubt that was a definite advantage to the field since my doctor gave me clearance to play golf two days ago", said Dosky. "I think the big difference between Troj and myself was my poor start.  My 71 strokes on the backnine in Round 1 was not any better than my 71 on the front nine during the Wednesday practice round.  It only got better on Friday and that is way too late in a major championship."

Dosky improved in Round 2 and 3 with a pair of 117's.  "Incredible!  It's my lowest round in competition," Dosky said. "I've probably shot it out messing around with my buddies, but certainly not in competition."

"Obviously I have a lot of work ahead of me," Dosky continued. "There were some great players in the field and I'm sure we will see some good scores out there for years to come.  I look forward to next year."
