Marti Formalizes Intent

December 30, 2002

CAMBRIDGE, MA — The Captains Club proudly announced it's 4th rookie for the 2003 Carl Spackler Open on Sunday.  Kyle Marti has signed his letter of intent to play golf and continue his ongoing relationship with Carl Spackler.

"We are excited that Kyle has added the state of Massachusetts to this national golf event."  It is widely believed that Massachusetts will be 1 of 9 different states represented in the 2003 Open Championship.

The Club stated, "Kyle is a great fit into our field of players.  We were impressed as we watched him play this past summer, and in Kyle we see a great desire to play golf at the highest level."  Kyle finished No. 6 in the On Tour Championship and improved from a 48 handicap in April 2002 to a 27 in early October.

"The field will lose in the race to world domination", said Marti in his signed letter of intent.  "I plan to upgrade my game once again this winter and run away with the 2003 major championship by Round 3.  It will be a Golden Jacket performance for everyone to see."

There is 163 days until the 2003 Carl Spackler Open.  The deadline for letters of intent is Monday, January 5, 2003.
