Wish List Deadline
February 15, 2003
ASHTABULA, OH — With the 2003 Carl Spackler Open in just 116 days, the Captains Club has communicated the deadline for Player Partner Wish Lists. This great opportunity will allow friends to play together in foursomes rather than allow random numbers determine the foursomes. The deadline for Wish List requests is Monday, February 17, 2003.
"I played with Slick 3 times in Williamsburg and don't like him anyway", said a frustrated Matt Davis. "I would like to see some of the good old boys."
The official tournament format allows for tailored pairings during two rounds of golf. The "Wish List" is an optional list of player preferences to create golf foursomes.
The format allows the field to create a Wish List and select 2 specific players they would most prefer to golf with. The pairing format also allows each player to select 3 different twosomes to be paired with.
Each field member will select their top 2 partner preferences. The group leaders will do its best to meet each player's preferences. At the published deadline, the group leaders will determine partners for the tournament and update the website for further twosome Wish List preferences. Preferences can be updated within player administration.
After all partners are determined next week, the format allows the field to continue with their Wish List and select three specific twosome preferences they would most prefer to golf with. The group leaders will do its best to meet each preference. The list of twosome possibilities cannot be changed at this point. Again, preferences can be updated within player administration.
The partner preferences will be requested until Monday. Once finalized, the twosome preferences will be requested for 30 days.
