Itinerary Restructured

March 31, 2003

ASHTABULA, OH — With the Carl Spackler Open due to begin in just 72 days, the tournament itinerary has been revamped to include the best structure for ultimate entertainment.  As the itinerary already includes prep tournament tasks and deadlines, the tournament week time is what's most important.

"We have really strived to make necessary scheduling changes from the first two years", said Chairman Greg Long.  "The big hitters were optional golf, better tee times and drinking times."

The Captains Club scaled back the required 72 holes to 54 holes for the 2003 event to help with the overall value of the weekend.  The group added an optional 18 hole non-tournament event on Friday afternoon along with beach party back at the cottages on Friday afternoon.  Lastly, the Club moved the Saturday tee time to 11am eastern time and moved the Awards Presentation/Dinner to 5:30pm on Saturday.

The itinerary allows time for breakfast, transportation time to the golf course, multiple tee times, range time, player time, golf and plenty of rest.  The field of 28 players should be as organized as ever.  The full itinerary can be reviewed on the green official tournament section of the website.
