ASHTABULA, OH — The clock will not stop and the 3rd annual Carl Spackler Open is less than 57 days from Round 1. Kyle Marti, Jason Watson, Don McFarland and Bill Bateson are some of the players going after their first Golden Jacket and the Championship Trophy.  They are players with a chance and are not about to miss a golden opportunity.

"This is the big one", said Bateson. "There are not many major championships and this one has a field that is well respected. Garrett, Creighton, Flanagan, McElroy... I have been looking forward to this one for a while."

Brian Flanagan is bringing a new swing to the tournament.  "My new swing is pretty good already. If good motions get in the hands of a good player, only good things will happen as a result.  I expect great things."  Brian has been practicing since January in preparation for the big one.

The Open Championship is scheduled to commence in Madison, OH at The Reserve at Thunder Hill. The tournament will consist of 54 holes with a field of 31 players.
