ASHTABULA, OH — The Reserve at Thunder Hill has released its final list of invitations for players to compete in the 2003 Carl Spackler Open. Chairman Greg Long announced the addition of Jon Munksgard, Kevin Long, Sr., Scott Miller, Kyle Marti, Brian Long, Gus Sokos, Brian Cedarquist, Chad Long, Pat McElroy, John Dick, Shawn Long, Mike Davis, Bill Bateson, Tom Fowble, Don Crile and John McAninch.. These 16 players raise the total number of players from 18 to 32.  Pat McElroy has been selected as the 2003 Tournament Honoree for his respect for the game and dedication to the Open Championship.  McCauley has already made predictions of a repeat performance to keep the Spackler Outfit.

The 30 players have qualified for the tournament by entering a minimum of three rounds of golf into the online On Tour Championship before the deadline pre-set by Captains Club.  Two outstanding players are still working on their personal deadline to submit three scorecards.  Other players from last year will return like Champion Mike Trojanowski, runner up Don McFarland, Czveric Outfit receipent CEO Jamie Myers and Spackler Outfit award winner Tom McCauley. Other players include Jay Dilks, Jason Watson, Jay Dilks, Kevin Long, Jr., Greg Garrett, Horses Ass winner Mike Watkeys, 2002 Honoree Jeff Cowan and Brian Flanagan from Ohio.

"We have added 16 talented golfers to an already outstanding field", said Jason Watson. "With the quality players in this year's tournament, we anticipate another exciting Open.  That Crile guy really is a classic mullet."

The field will compete for the Golden Jacket, $330 purse and the Championship trophy. The tournament will consist of a modified NOOG point system during the 54-hole event. Each player will be awarded points based on their golf personality.  The loser will again wear the beloved Carl Spackler Outfit on Saturday night.
