Remembering Perfection

BUFFALO, NY — As the one year anniversary passed last month, only two things come to mind. A golden performance from Trojanowski in the home stretch and ungolden performance by Tom McCauley down the stretch. However, this year things will be different as talent such as Jon Munksgard, Shawn Long and Bill Bateson will embark on a journey to win the coveted Golden Jacket and $330 tournament purse.

"I think that a shot is all I have", said Slick. "I did win the tournament last year, but it helps when McCauley shits the bed in Round 3 and Pokey decides to drink a shot of vodka on every hole on the back nine." Slick won the tournament in 2001 with 107 points, but the Captains Club expects a record performance due to perfect conditions in 2003. "I also have modified my swing to the point that too many adjustments are being made. All I can do is give it my best shot."

Slick added, "I do have some favorites in mind. I do not like talking about other players, but Dilks interests me. Brian Flanagan, however does not interest me. He is just flat out good." Slick might be referring to Flanagan's 12% drop in score since May 2002.

Slick was then asked about other players to watch. "Randy Watson is someone to watch. He took 20 strokes off his game in 2002 and won Golfapalooza.  Only time will tell if he can hold that level of his game or suffer the consequences of the Al Cervic Outfit.

The Carl Spackler Open opens play in 25 days in Madison, Ohio. The field is working hard on their games and it should be a great tournament. An additional practice round is scheduled for Wednesday and many players are scheduled to attend. Tom McCauley, Vice President of Golf Instruction is scheduled for a fan workshop at 3PM.
