ASHTABULA, OH — After shocking the field after Round 1, Hevy Joseph Long stood with a few players above 30 points.  In fact, Hevy stood alone after 9 holes with 25 points and in 3rd place after Round 1.  All of this in only his 2nd major championship.  Well, that was Thursday and everyday is different.

"Getting wasted was probably not the best decision for players at the top of the board", said Hevy Jo.  "It's hard to continue on a high level and pace with a hangover."  Hevy's game shot up 10 strokes on Friday including 14 points less.  His 20 point effort in Round 2 was only outdone by Garrett, Marti, Cowan, Sokos, Munksgard and Trojanowski.

"It was hard to watch", said Gumby.  "I almost started to throw my clubs after seeing him play.  I have never seen someone just fall down the leaderboard like that."  Hevy fell 6 spots on Friday and another 4 spots on Saturday to 14th place.

Hevy was not happy.  "I'm not going to beat myself up over today's round but it might be time to bag it," Hevy said.  "Granted, I didn't come through and win this time, (but) it was very exciting to at least have the opportunity to lead the tournament."  He concluded, "I don't think that my NOOG points were set for me to hit 110 on Friday and Saturday.  Those scores do not help the cause."
