TERRA ALTA, WV — Brett Lyme liked his chances at Golfapalooza.  He needed this tournament to end a drought without a win in any sport in 32 years.  He finished 2nd to 15 with 16th place all to himself.  It appears his drought will extend for another 365 days.

"Nothing was bad, but nothing was really good either", said Lyme, who played in his golf sandals. "There was just a little bit missing from everything."  He realized his problem competing with these men was the big irons, driver, wedges and the poor putting.  "If you take my 2 twelves away in Round 1, I would have shot double-digits."

Brett shot 45-over par 117 on Thursday, but removed the twelves and improved by 12 strokes in Round 2 with a 105.  "Friday really felt better", said Lyme.  "I stopped taking big numbers and starting scoring bogey."  Brett finished 20th of 27 in raw score.
