Ohio Continues to Sign

December 26, 2003

POWELL, OH — Vice President of Golf Instruction, Tom McCauley today announced the signing of Brian Flanagan of Powell, Ohio, to a national letter of intent during the signing period in early December. Flanagan is the sixth player from Ohio to sign for this year?s major championship.

Butter, a fourth member for 2004, has decided to attend this year to show the ability to acquire kitchen passes at will. "Daddy. Are you going to that golf thing again this year?" replied Butter's daughter.  "Yes", replied Butter.  "Are you going to win the trophy?", said daughter.  Brian replied, "I am going to try.  It is not an easy thing to do."  Flanagan's daughter immediately replied, "I hope you can at least beat Donny.  He isn't very good."

Brian sent a note with his letter of intent.  "I am excited about this tournament. This is my 8th kitchen pass in 60 days. I going to win this for my girls and new son."

McCauley believes Butter has been a big boost for the tournament. "We are very excited that Butter has chosen to attend the Open Championship. He is a proven player with extensive regional and national experience. He has the ability to shoot bogeys and is an excellent student of the game."

The Spackler Open Championship will stop accepting letters of intent on January 2. The tournament is scheduled for June 10, 2004 in Winston-Salem, NC.
