WILSON, NC — The Carl Spackler business office has announced that they have signed Brandon Hunter of Wilson, NC to a National Letter of Intent to play in the 2004 Carl Spacker Open. Brandon is the 12th player to register for the event and our 2nd rookie.

Hunter will obtain home field advantage for this year's major as he is a quick 150 minute commute to the golf course. "Hunter must be favored to at least place", said Matt Davis of the Captains Club. "His golf season will start in early March while most of us will still have snow and very cold temperatures. I would have to give him the nod."

The CEO of the Captains Club, Jamie Myers noted, "Hunter is a fantastic athlete and employee. He will be a great player in our field and we assume that a Brandon-type player will take our tournament to the next level."

The final field will be published soon and tee-times for Round 1 can be expected in May. The tournament is scheduled with a 18-hole Thursday, 18-hole Friday and a 18-hole Saturday. The awards and purse are also scheduled to be released in May.
