Creighton Eagles at Neuse
November 14, 2005
CLAYTON, NC — Jay Dilks regards Don Creighton as the man to beat as the New Yorkian chases a first victory in the season long virtual tournament. Creighton shot his first career 16-point eagle at The Neuse last weekend.
Creighton eagled the 494-yard Par 5 17th hole when he holed out from the fairway.
"Even with an eagle, I really just haven't played well this year to win anything. With modified stableford play, it's kind of a different feel with 16-point eagles," Creighton said. "I really want to feel like I can win and that's why I play with Dilks and Trojanowski. They have enough flaws to keep my attitude in the game."
Creighton carded 54 points at The Neuse and currently is tied for 9th position with Steve Hoden.
In other news, Mike Trojanowski has nearly relabeled himself as a bogey golfer after extensive work with his beloved "inside approach" swing aid. Mike has moved into a tie for 4th place with Mark Wray.
The Carl Spackler Open Virtual Tournament crowns it's winner in 45 days. The field of players has risen to 83 players through the fall and continues to grow rapidly.
