The Creighton Decision
January 27, 2004
STATEN ISLAND, NY — The Creighton decision has been made. A decision that will bring Don Creighton from Staten Island all the way across the Appalachian Mountains to Winston-Salem for the 2004 Carl Spackler Open. His 571 mile drive will be the longest in the field and is expected to cause automobile lag. The kind of lag that could hamper his chances for the Golden Jacket.
The Latin Lover Escobar Banderas, commonly known to many as Don Creighton and CSOC VP of Player Discipline, has completed the rigorous qualification system required for golf?s biggest event, the annual Carl Spackler Open Championship, according to CFO Rick Dosky. The Captain?s Club chose the less intimidating Tanglewood Park, as the site for this year?s event to level out of the tournament course playability. This comes one year after the group played the 12 most difficult course in America.
"We?re very excited that Escobar took time out from his busy social life to compete this summer", said Jamie Myers. "I still wanted to tell everyone, on behalf of the Captain?s Club, how excited we are about Don joining us in June. We?re looking forward to adding him to this already talent-laden field."
Don signs to represent the state of New York and as the 31st player to a talented field. This puts the field only one player from the 32 player field of 2003.
