Kitchen Passes Firm
March 31, 2004
WINSTON-SALEM, NC — The kitchen pass is not always the easiest thing to obtain; especially when the wife is expecting a few short months prior to a major championship. Rick Dosky knows this all too well as he tries to balance life On Tour and at home with his decision to ignore the Red Zone warning last year.
"I am really excited about the Open Championship, Tanglewood Park and the field of players", said CFO Dosky. "I asked for these kitchen passes eleven months ago and really did not know if they would stand up to the test of time. I am really looking forward to a wonderful weekend." Rick will know whether the passes are still valid in just 70 days as the fourth annual Carl Spackler Open will begin play in Winston-Salem, NC.
Rick Dosky, a Captain?s Club member since June 24, 2001, received great reviews from the Captains Club with his drink ethic and his 71-point outburst at Links Firestorm Farms golf course on August 28, 2002. "Rick is a great athlete and even a better drinker", said Tom McCauley. "And granted he is a hacker, but no one should hold that against him."
"Rick has an incredible understanding of the golf swing now, but it took some really hard work," said Greg Long, Chairman of the CSOC who also doubles as Dosky?s swing coach. "I had to convince him that his 71-point day at the Links was due to a superb day with his timing. We?ve completely restructured his swing path since June of last year. I look for him to surprise a lot of players and challenge for the Title in Winston-Salem."
Rick Dosky is one of 15 players coming from the state of Ohio. He will be on hand for the Wednesday practice round, and will sponsor a clinic on alcohol consumption planning on Wednesday night. Expect Rick to be ready to play golf in two months and possibly make a run at immortality.
