Eagle Rock Eliminated
August 2, 2004
HAZLETON, PA — The eighteen hole championship course featuring breathtaking mountain vistas, picture perfect lakes, crisp mountain streams and heavily wooded fairways is being eliminated from the 2005 Carl Spackler Open Championship venues. Nine of the eighteen holes were designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer.
"The golf course is very beautiful," says Greg Long. "This course is a perfect round of golf with the wife." The greens, tees and lush fairways at Eagle Rock are bent grass, and the roughs are fluffy Kentucky Bluegrass.
The 10,000 square foot Clubhouse and putting green sit adjacent to a rock formation known as Eagle Rock. The Clubhouse also has a restaurant for casual dining has an amazing view of the #18 green and #1 fairway.
The course works for the seasoned player or a beginner with wide fairways. Nine of the holes were designed by the legendary Arnold Palmer and offer breathtaking views. This is an exceptional course that will challenge all those who play and is sure to exceed your expectations.
"As of today, we are eliminating the course as a possibility," says Long. "We just do not think this is the best facility for the 2005 Carl Spackler Open. Maybe in 2011 if things work out."
