WARREN, PA — There is "Be Like Mike", "Johnny Be Good", and now there seems to a case for "Be Like Mascaro".  Reports from Sweden have confirmed the quick positive catch phrase is taking hold internationally.

PGA Tour Professional Jesper Parnevik has added the Outfit to his tournament rotation after the 2004 Carl Spackler Open.  After his initial round in the flashy duds, Jesper was asked to comment about his addition of red pants and blue collared shirt.  "I saw those pictures of Steve Mascaro and that was enough," says Jesper.  "I told my fashion designers that I wanted to "Be Like Mascaro".   They executed."

Jesper was asked about the possible attention he was causing by duplicating the Outfit on the PGA Tour.  "That boy Mascaro looked great," said Jesper.  "This is not a tour issue, but a great trend that should catch on internationally.  Make no mistake, this outfit is impressive looking, but nobody can ignore Mascaro's great play with the colorful outfit.  He scored more tournament points in the flashy outfit than in the previous 36 holes combined."

Reporters asked Jesper about his comfort in the outfit.  "It is very comfortable.  I see an improved swing and more comfortable approach to the game of golf.  The outfit is nearly a miracle worker.  It really inspires great play and Steve Mascaro is a role model for kids out there."  Jesper made one more comment with a smile before heading into the clubhouse for lunch.  "Be Like Mascaro!"  

Jamie Myers wore the Outfit in 2002 and Jon Munksgard wore it in 2003.  Obviously, neither of these members looked good enough to warrant the Jesper change in tournament clothing.

Steve Mascaro scored a dismal 30 points after the 1st two rounds of the 2004 Carl Spackler Open.  He shot 120+ in both rounds.  He wore the Cervick Outfit during the final round of play to symbolize last place in the tournament.  He scored 33 points with an impressive 101 in the final round to leap over Mike Watkeys and escaped the Carl Spackler Outfit.
