Slick Hits Hole in One

COLUMBUS, OH — Greg Long had a hole-in-one on Wednesday evening to shoot 39 on the front nine of Cumberland Trail.  He had another chip in from 40 yards, but it could not save him from a subpar back nine 50.  Regardless, his eagle saved his ass and carded him 33 NOOG points within the On Tour Championship.

"My chip in gave me par, but I had a stroke and distance.  It could have easily been two eagles and 16 NOOG points."  Regardless, the hole in one came on Hole #6 at Cumberland.  The par 3 island green plays 182 yards from the gold tees.  Greg hit a 7-iron which landed 15 feet short of the hole.  The ball then rolled 4 inches left and then back into the hole.

"I'm trying to do my best to forget this round," Long said. "I seemed to have made a handfull of mistakes on three holes.  This round could have been a 72 really easy.  Instead it was a disaster."
