February 1, 2005

BELPRE, OH — Scott "Miller Time" Miller has announced today that he will be the 23rd member to commit to the 2005 Carl Spackler Open Championship, slated for June 9 in Barnesville, PA. Naturally, a few Captains Club members accompanied Miller to the press conference.

Miller has a sketchy past with the Carl Spackler Open Championship, as he had to drop out of the 2002 and 2004 tournaments due to an eleventh-hour Kitchen Pass emergencies. Adding to his woes, he has not played golf since August 2003 where he shot 61 strokes over par at Winding Hollow Country Club.

"My memory of golf is not very delightful," says Miller. "Miller Time will be using plenty of Yeungling to deal with the golf pain."  Miller added, "Make no mistake.  I am looking forward to my 2nd major championship and the field of players.  I do not plan to wear the Carl Spackler Outfit."

Miller returns to the Open Championship after placing 8th at Thunder Hill in 2003.  He scored 28 long putt points and tied for the Stroke Award after Round 3.  He lost his first potential award in a playoff against Brian Flanagan.

Miller signs as the 57th player.  The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins in 127 days.
