WARREN, PA — CEO Jamie Myers announces today the signing of Pennsylvania product Steve Hoden, one of the nation's top amateur golfers, to compete for the Golden Jacket in June 2005. Hodo, the reigning champion of the Carl Spackler Open will be looking to repeat.

"Hodo is expected to have an immediate impact in Round 1," said Myers. "He has the game to step into the top ten within the first nine holes." Hoden has also been instrumental in attracting additional talent to next year?s field of players.  "I have high expectations from all players currently residing in Pennsylvania," said Myers.

Hoden commented, "I?m not concerned with winning this thing. If it happens, I will wear the jacket with dignity for another year. I?m more focused on the tournament success and not expecting 3 birdies in the final round of play. With the development of our tournament on the national level, we are now able to attract some of the best golfers in the country. That is my focus ongoing."

Steve added, "There is way to many talented players to even consider myself as good. Davis, McCauley and one of the Long's to name a few. I do not plan to get out to Pottsville early and play a practice round, but I?ll probably hit the range early on Thursday."

The Carl Spackler Open is scheduled for June 9, 2005. It is a 54-hole tournament, which will require 4 full kitchen passes for attendance. Hoden is the 24th member to sign up for the 5th major championship.  Steve is also the 19th player to sign with home field advantage.
