Back to 68

DUBLIN, OH — The Carl Spackler Open did not have a highly demanded spot for long. The Captains Club has signed another athlete to compete in 2005 major championship by the name Jeff Miller.
"This guy has tremendous success with his drive to the golf course, his parallel parking, and even paying for a round of golf. Everywhere except for the golf course," noted Jason Ridgeway after hearing about his signing. "But at Spackler it does not matter as his limitations will be well hidden in our tournament. He should be fine. Please underline should."
"J is very strong off the tee, but ball control puts him out of bounds," Ridgeway continued. "Though he has some issues, he is getting plenty of points. Combined with his mental toughness from the Dublin, Ohio inter-city, he has the ability to shoot better than hacker type numbers."
Miller's latest signing puts the tournament back to a record 68 players. The 2005 Carl Spackler Open is scheduled to begin with it's annual practice round on June 8. There are 40 players scheduled to get a feel for the tournament course before Round 1.
