Trojanowski is at it again
July 21, 2002
ROCKY MOUNT, NC — Current champion, Mike Trojanowski has failed to register the minimum three rounds of golf since the tournament. Speculation surrounded Mike's victory at the Colonial earlier this year since his performance seemed to be significantly improved over the scores recorded and used to track his NOOG points.
Several field members were reached for comment. Jason Watson stated, "You would think the guy would get out there and show us that he is for real. Instead he just continues to ignore the accusations and let a cloud hang over him." Jeff Cowan sounded off, "Troj is a cheater. I've known him all my life and there is nothing he enjoys more than winning and he'll do whatever it takes. He'll trip a grandmother to win a race if necessary."
Before this year's Open, even Carl himself had to send written notice to Mike stating that additional registration of rounds were required. Mike reacted by entering two. The Captains Club responded by releasing Troj temporarily from the Captains Club. Jay Myers, CEO, was quoted, "I was an unfortunate incident that was required. We felt that we were left with no other alternative. I mean, the idiot failed take sufficient action after receiving a letter from Carl."
Don McFarland, a contender for the Golden Jacket this year cried, "I knew it. I knew this SOB had something up his sleeve." Mr. Watson, VP of Tournament Rules and Donald Creighton, VP of Player Discipline have assured the field that they are taking this issue very seriously and will not rest until the facts are revealed.
