CHESTERVILLE, OH — Mike Watkeys, coveted owner of the Carl Spackler Outfit has guaranteed he will not repeat.  He has unformally withdrawn due to unknown future and lack of funds by the April deadline.

"We are disappointed, but also have a major championship to run," says Matt Davis.  "We will miss our 2002 Horses Ass, but we cannot continue to give.  We regret the only decision possible."

Watkeys failure to financially sign guarantees the Spackler tournament will crown a new "Crapper" and Carl Spackler Outfit loser.  He has submitted two rounds of non-major championship golf in 4 years.  His last round came one week before the 2003 championship at Thunder Hill.  Mike is one of four players to participate in three tournaments to date.

Reporters continue to gather around his farm house in Chesterville, OH to get a response to the recent Captains Club move.  The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins in just 29 days as another player has withdrawn from the tournament.  A complete itinerary of the tournament is available including newly restructured Friday.
