OIL CITY, PA — The Spackler News Network (SNN) will once again offer live coverage of the 2005 Carl Spackler Open Championship, the Spackler Business Office announced today from the new SNN Headquarters in Oil City, PA. The announcement also confirmed the expansion ideas that include two cameras and two anchors.  Speculation and rumors swirled this winter whether the expansion would include another camera.

Jay Dilks, who accepted his Dream Job position back on March 24 of 2004, has brought along Brian Flanagan to help interview players. Dilks is preparing feverishly to get all the latest information on the field and the history of the tournament ready in time for Flanagan's television debut on June 8.

"I?ve tried to scout everyone, determine equipment, strengths, weaknesses, etc., and it has helped me to prepare as a player and as a journalist for this years? tournament. I just hope that I?m not overextending myself. I haven?t been getting very much practice time or rest recently," said Dilks. "I have the field list with lot's of information, but hoping the players completely fill out their individual profiles.  I?m very interested to see how the players will respond to them with a microphone and camera jammed into their grills," he added.

The Spackler News Network will have commerical free tournament coverage on Saturday.  It will include 2 1/2 hours of on the course coverage and post game press conferences.  The SNN crew plans a Pregame Show on Wednesday night at Maroon's Sports Bar.  It will include practice round scores and comments along with player predictions.

The camera men will be rookie Surinder Punia and veteran Tom Fowble.  The expansion also includes tri-pod, spotlight, studio back drop, microphone stand, and much better video technology.

The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins in 28 days.  Players continue to enter scorecards at a record pace and get excited for the largest golf trip in America.
