COLUMBUS, OH — The Carl Spackler Open has signed another athlete to compete in 2005 major championship. "Chris has tremendous success at the national level," noted Vice President of Online Scoring, Greg Garrett. "Chris has showcased his accuracy, short game prowess and course management skills this season in the On Tour Championship. I expect to be entering lower than average scores for him."

Chris is very strong off the tee and has shown great ball control. Combined with his mental toughness, he has the ability to shoot bogey every time he tees it up. He will ensure great depth in the field and hopefully make an immediate impact.

Phillipsen has carded 5 rounds to date shooting an average of 90.8 strokes per round.  Buck Ridge continues to be where he finds his best game, although not be much.

The field is back to 68 once again for the 2005 Carl Spackler Open.  Pairings are scheduled for release on Monday.  That includes the optional Practice Round, Round 1, and Round 2 daily pairings.  Final moves by the Captains Club continue to take place daily.
