VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The 2005 Carl Spackler Open pairings were released to the general public during a major press conference held by Kevin Long, Jr.; Vice President, Tee Box. The conference took place in his spacious back yard in Virginia Beach at 9:00am EDT, and featured a rare appearance by none other than Carl Spackler.
"It?s an honor and a great pleasure to present to all of you the 2005 Carl Spackler Open Featured Pairings Lists. As you know, we in the Captain?s Club have dedicated ourselves to hosting the finest amateur golf tournament in the world of golf. "Pairings make all of the difference in the world. It?s a comfort level, I think, and uh, you know, you play a lot better when you?re comfortable with the rest of the foursome. That's what I think," added Spackler, scratching his chest.
