COLUMBUS, OH — Greg "Slick" Long became the ninth Loozer to sign up for this year's event, joining GVIII Rookie of the Year Eric Melick and Most Valuable Loozer Bret Lyme as recent signees. "There was no doubt Slick would sign, it was just a matter of when," Butter Flanagan said when asked for comment. "We can usually count on him right after the Spackler tournament is over. Some things you can just set your watch by." Gus Sokos added, "he hosts the website; did anybody think he wasn't showing up?"

The signing of Lyme and Melick now make it three guys from Flanagan's neighborhood that have committed. Grundo Magruder had this to say: "Gus and I have an over/under bet on how many of Flanagan's neighbors will show up this year; I took the over but I'm not giving out the number. I don't want Butter rigging the bet for Gus."

It's a little over twelve weeks until the Wednesday practice round. Tee times start at 1:00 pm for whoever wants to participate.
