Neuse Added Late
September 29, 2005
ROCKY MOUNT, NC — The Neuse Golf Club in Clayton, NC was added very late to the 2006 Carl Spackler Open list of possible venues. The 4 1/2 star golf course is also Golf Digest's only great value in the state of North Carolina.
"We are very pleased with the opportunity," says Jamie Myers. "I think it is very important to offer the best choices for our group. I am confident in current nominations and want to ensure expectations continue to be exceeded."
The Neuse is located just south of Raleigh, NC. Accomodations have been located in downtown Raleigh.
A North Carolina or Pennsylvania selection in 2006 could break the tradition of future venues. The Madison Club near New Stanton, PA has been labeled and nominated as the centralized location of choice for 2006.
At The Neuse, the combination of challenging golf and peaceful surroundings has proven infectious. Players will experience condo and mature forest lined fairways. At the Neuse, sensational rock outcroppings and rolling hills twist and turn along the banks of the Neuse River. Each hole here is dramatically different, with surprises at every bunker and dogleg. It makes you feel like you're on a peaceful mountainside, with stately pines and a lazy winding river.
Invitations for the 2006 Carl Spackler Open will be available on November 15, 2005.
