JOHNSTOWN, OH — Senior member Mike Gibson and part-time van driver, who dominated in Texas just a month ago, continues to struggle inside the 2010 Virtual Tournament. The Ohioan from Columbus, OH shot a 21-over 97 at Clover Valley Golf Club while taking six zeros.

"It was disappointing," says Gibson. "I need a warm climate to heat up my muscles and play impressive golf. The freezing cold winds of Ohio are bone-chilling. I spent most of the day wearing a winter hat and freezing my nuts off."

Gibson finished with 5 triple bogeys. He was asked about whether fatigue has already set in this spring. "I am not the strongest man," says Gibson. "But to say that I cannot get through a full round of golf is ridiculous. Where do you guys get this stuff? It was one round of golf. My statistics should prove fatigue is not the norm."

Mike did manage to par five holes at Clover Valley Golf Club on Sunday. "The media never wants to discuss the bright points until someone melts down on TV," says the 3-time member of the Carl Spacker Open. "It is always a focus on the zeros."

"I did not utter the words 'sixty-five' while walking off the 8th green," said Gibson in reference to Rick Dosky's past round. "I also did not play my third shot at the 9th hole from the parking lot as Slick did."

"I personally think he looks good out there," says buddy Bobby Owens. "His attire, golf bag, clubs, and swing look fantastic. The scores will come around to match up."

Gibson enters the 2010 Virtual Tournament and probably has bottomed out in 19th position. The 44-point round on Sunday was enough points to stay ahead of Jon Munksgard, who holds last position in the season-long golf tournament.
