STATE COLLEGE, PA — The Captains Club proudly announced it's 20th member for the 2006 Carl Spackler Open. Kyle Marti has signed his letter of intent to play golf and continue his ongoing relationship with Carl Spackler.

"We are excited that Kyle has added himself to our national golf event", said Kevin Long, Jr.. Marti joins the field for his 4th straight major championship.

Kyle placed 2nd for the 2005 Stroke Award in Barnesville, PA.

"Kyle was a great fit into our field of players," said Brian Long in a written statement from the Captains Club. "We were not impressed as he continues to hack year after year, however we see a great desire to play golf at the highest level. We are always open to students of the game."

There is 159 days until the 2006 Carl Spackler Open Championship. The deadline for registration expired on Wednesday. A final count of players will be completed early next week.
