The Carl Spackler Open field has long valued the putter, otherwise known as the "Money Club". Every player has the opportunity to allow this club to make him famous, grabbing the "Stroke" award. The Stroke will be awarded to the Spacklerian whose club gathers the most putting points during the Open. The Stroke is a 20 ounce, crystal mug, with the Stroke Winner?s name engraved upon the pewter plate. The winner can proudly hoist his beverage after the Open, slighting all of those "Stroke" champion wanna-be?s, who will all be watching him drink from the cherished mug in envy.
