Abundance of Entertainment

OSTRANDER, OH — With schedules beginning to settle down and more members able to participate the Thursday night league is shaping up to provide a full evening of peaceful entertainment.

First thing that is always entertaining is Melick showing up 2 hours before our tee time to warm up apposed to Don and Jon showing up 2 minutes before our tee time and trying to play the first hole while tying their shoes.  Then you have Peter with the new clubs and just when you are ready to tell him to give it up he hits the most beautiful shot you ever saw.  Always entertaining is Doug’s ability to hit that little abbreviated swing farther than most people hit there full swings.  Most, certainly not Melick, when this gorilla hits no one is safe, especially the old guys in front of us.  (I would have loved to have seen Melick knock someone out).  Little did they know being on the green was probably the safest place for them.

Flanagan always has his music and three beers down before teeing off hole 3.  This usually provides an opportunity to do a few jigs on the tee box while waiting for the group in front of us.  This holds true when Johnny Cash comes on.

Dan’s not very entertaining but it is kind cool to watch him play so well.  Who am I kidding, the only entertaining thing Dan does is hit a bad shot and you can not always count on that.  It fun however to see Doug and his buddies miss easy birdie putts.  Not so fun when Doug is your partner though.

What will this week bring…….
