Replay Round

This year, the optional replay round will be played in a similar format.  The new format is a 4-man alternate shot scramble, and will be held after Round 1 on Friday, June 7.

To summarize the 4-man alternate shot scramble format, each team will be comprised of four golfers split into two pairs.  A&D players and the B&C players will be paired to form a single team.  Each pair within the team will alternate shots during play.  The team will choose the best shot within each pair.  As an example, the A&D players tee off, the best of the two shots is chosen, and then the B&C players hit the second shot.  This continues until the hole is complete.  On the following hole (and regardless of which pair finished the prior hole), the B&C player pair tees off.

Based on feedback on the prior scramble format, the goal of the new format is to:
1- create more excitement by getting each team member more involved in the outcome
2- improve pace of play
3- establish a more predictable scoring system
4- utilize a simple rule set so that even the most intoxicated can understand it

The new format is 4-man alternate shot scramble.  Each team will be comprised of four golfers split into two pairs.  The A&D players and the B&C players will be paired to form a single team.

Instructions for Par 4's & 5's
-------------------------------------
Each pair within the team will alternate shots during play.

Instructions for Par 3's
----------------------------
Par 3 holes will have a slightly modified format.  For the par 3 holes, each team of four golfers may choose any player combination and order to play the hole.  This includes the ability to have as many as 3 golfers take the tee-shot, followed by the remaining golfer to hit the sole second shot.  In this 3-1 scenario, the 3 players that teed off would take the third shot if required, and so on.

Following the par 3, the golfers will continue to the next hole where the pair that took the second shot on the hole prior to the par 3 will now tee off.
