POWELL, OH — Brian McCormick held off Mehul Patel in a neck-n-neck finish to win the 3rd annual Golfapalooza On Tour Championship and seal history inside his golf bag.

McCormick sealed his strong finish this fall by entering a 3rd round of golf that not only placed him with the minimum to enter the tournament, but enough points to win the Championship.  "This is the strong finish that we like to see from our Champions", said Jason Watson.  "He came out of nowhere at the last minute and surprised us all.  I am happy for Elvis and looking forward to his name added to the On Tour Championship trophy."

Brian finished the annual tour with 44 points this fall and averaged 42.7 points per round.  "It's so nice to play a tournament this way," McCormick said. "I just wished there was more time to devote to the game."

"This is my 1st season of golf and to be the best in the nation is unbelievable because there are some great players out there," Elvis said. "When I see players like Long and Patel, it really allows me the opportunity to play with these guys."

McCormick became the third player to win the On Tour Championship behind Brian Flanagan(2002) and Don McFarland(2003).  The point system gives the kind of parity that allows a anybody a chance at this thing.

"No. 1 in the world is hard to believe with so many good players out there," added McCormick, who held off Greg Long, Mehul Patel, Greg Garrett and Bill Kolibash.  Patel, who wore the Green Jacket at this year's Golfapalooza said, "I'm looking forward to what's lying ahead. It's was a terrible feeling being at the bottom in September and I'm sure Elvis will cherish the moment. I personally am getting better everyday and cannot wait for April."

The Golfapalooza tour and field of players will go on vacation for the winter, while preparing for Golfapalooza 2004 in September 2004.  The 2004 MELC points will be adjusted on January 1, 2004 and the On Tour Championship will be ready for play on March 1, 2004.
