DULUTH, GA — Pat Boland joins the field of 6 players that have signed to play in the 2nd major of 2004.  He joins Greg Long, Brian Flanagan, Greg Garrett, Jason Watson, and Rick Dosky at Golfapalooza in Terra Alta, WV.

Pat Boland finished in 15th place in the 2004 Carl Spackler Open and 1/3 of one point above the 35 NOOG point average.

"I started poorly at Spackler", says Boland.  "I really need birdies and to be aggressive out there.  This is not going to happen at Golfapalooza with plenty of rest.  Alpine Lake is a great course and rewards aggressive play."

Spackler was Boland's 3rd major in 3 years and still looking for his first Top 10.  His top finish was 11th in Golfapalooza 2002.

In regards to my game, "I was pleased to shoot in the 80's each day at Spackler," says Boland.  "I really like my swing and consistency.  I am hoping for very good things next month."

Boland leaves for West Virginia in 39 days.  Boland makes the trip from northern Atlanta and plans to participate in the annual practice round.
