TERRA ALTA, WV — "I'm not ready, but that might be the advantage that I need right now", says a poised Rick Dosky.  "I cannot believe this is my 6th major already."

Golfapalooza VIII begins Thursday at Alpine Lake Resort in Terra Alta, WV.  There are 21 players scheduled in this major championship.  Dosky returns to defend his Sam Gash Award.

Dosky returns to Terra Alta with his last 7 scorecards being 120, 130, 133, 126, 132, 125, and 131.  "Dosky can run away with this year's tournament with a few bogeys and double bogeys per round," says Brian Flanagan.  "As far as I am concerned, this is Dosky's tournament to lose."

Dosky returns to Golfapalooza after placing tied for 20th last year.  He placed tied for 22nd at the 2004 Carl Spackler Open at Tanglewood Park.

Dosky plans to play at least one practice round on Wednesday.  He also will be at the local Walmart SuperCenter signing autographs on Wednesday night from 8-10PM.

The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins 261 days.  A Captains Club announcement on tournament location is scheduled in 3 weeks.  Invitations for the Open are scheduled for mass mailing in 50 days.
