NEW YORK, NY — With just weeks away from the 2005 Carl Spackler Open site announcement, the Captains Club is deliberating with extensive information on the best lodging and golf possibilities in the eastern United States.

The reports close to the organization suspect a move to Pennsylvania or Kentucky in 2005.  "Things are A-OK," says Don Creighton during a weekly press conference.  "We have 10 states in mind and the best decision for the field of players takes extensive review.  Although, our tournament price could rise, the club is doing it's best to find the best value in eastern America."

The tournament is scheduled for June 8-11, 2005 with an expected record number of participants including Gumby, Pritchard, Fowble, Munksgard, Pokey, and Hevy Jo.

"We really like our multiple options this year," says Creighton.  "Options always help.  Trying to put together the necessary pieces to obtain the best tournament in Spackler History is not an easy job.  However, with the right amount of time, I can see great things in our future."

There are 45 days before invitations and 254 days before Round 1.
