Another Delay

October 14, 2004

WARREN, PA — On Wednesday, the Captains Club announced another delay has plagued the 2005 Carl Spackler Open.  The concern is availability.  "With much regret, availability issues have forced the announcement of location back an additional week", said a disappointment Rick Dosky of the Captains Club.  "We are disappointed, but will have the best value before making this landmark decision."

The Captains Club has been discussing the 2005 possibilities for three weeks.  "We can nearly guarantee a decision by next Friday," said Dosky.  "We are making a personal visit to ensure an announcment can be made and organizing can begin."

Sources close to organization say Kentucky and Pennsylvania courses are running head-to-head like George Bush and John Kerry.

Invitations for the 2005 Carl Spackler Open are scheduled to be mailed on November 15.
