POTTSVILLE, PA — In the past year, just under 100 amateur golfers have enjoyed some of the "Carl Spackler Open Championship Experience". This special group of golfers has evaluated their competitiveness against players from multiple states within the United States. Exposure to a scouting report represented interests that want to see how players measure up against their peers.

"Needless to say, it?s time to put up or shut up", said Mike Watkeys, winner of the 2004 Carl Spackler Outfit. "It?s time to stop talking and start writing checks to the Dosky." The first-ever online invitation was mailed early this morning by our business office to the potential players within Carl?s select group of registered players. Outfit-free, Watkeys delived his ultimatum, "It is now time to see who is really interested in placing their name on the 2005 Championship Trophy."

"The planning has been excellent," said Greg Long, Chairman of the Captains Club.  "Our budget looks great, golf course is absolutely super, and activites are vast and impressive.  The buzz has been very high in October and November.  We are expecting to smash the existing attendance record of 48 players."

Jason Watson added, "Who will be allowed to become the next Cinderella story? Everyone has been talking about the major, but who will really be allowed?" The major will be hosted by Carl Spackler in Barnesville, PA starting on June 9, 2005. The course selection is Mountain Valley and plays appropriate for this kind of major championship. The tournament entry fee is $120 and is due in 45 days.  The absolute deadline will be January 3, 2005.  The total cost of the experience is a record low $324.

Registered players, which have not played more than four rounds of golf will be required to enter the appropriate scorecards before they attend the major. Kevin Long, better known as Hevy Jo appears to be excited with Watson's statement. "I can hardly wait. Not only a weekend with Nascar, beer, golf, Troj and Dilks, but a chance to be competitive and beat Pokey. I even heard that Lashley and Certo will be coming back this year."

The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins in 205 days.  There is 45 days left to sign for the greatest major championship in amateur golf.
