DUBLIN, OH — The #1 player in the world, Jason Watson signed his letter of intent for the 2005 Carl Spackler Open.  Watson returns with his Webb Award and is expected to place extremely well at the 2005 major.

"Our expectations are higher for no one," says Mike Trojanowski.  "Do not allow his +23 handicap to scare you."  Watson placed 3rd in Myrtle Beach in 2001.  He since placed 4th, 6th, and 14th just last year.  "His record is outstanding," says Trojanowski.  "He either cheats or really puts it together when it counts.  He is our most outstanding player."

Watson has never played a tournament without a round with less than 25 points.  It is that complete focus that has prevented a "Tiger Domination" in Spackler history.

Randy Watson reconstructed his golf swing this summer and is coming off a "Green Jacket" at Golfapalooza in September.  He brings a new "Skins Game" to the 2005 Carl Spackler Open and excited about it.

He signs as the 45 player overall and 9th member of the Captains Club.  He expands the representation of Ohio to 14 players.
