VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — The 2005 Carl Spackler Open pairings were released to the general public during a major press conference held by Kevin Long, Jr.; Vice President, Tee Box. The conference took place in his spacious back yard in Virginia Beach at 9:00am EDT, and featured a rare appearance by none other than Carl Spackler.

"It?s an honor and a great pleasure to present to all of you the 2005 Carl Spackler Open Featured Pairings Lists. As you know, we in the Captain?s Club have dedicated ourselves to hosting the finest amateur golf tournament in the world of golf. As such, we?ve constructed the most advanced system in tournament hosting. It is our belief that everyone will be pleased with the final results," stated Long.

The Practice Round, Round 1, and Round 2 pairings were made available immediately. Players and fans alike can review the pairings by clicking on the tournament info link on home page, then by clicking on the Pairings at the top. Once there, readers can click on each of the numbered links until the player in question is located.

"I?m delighted with the pairings, I think that this will produce the most exciting and competitive tournament that we?ve had yet," stated Carl Spackler, while looking sharp in a new undershirt and work pants. "Pairings make all of the difference in the world. It?s a comfort level, I think, and uh, you know, you play a lot better when you?re comfortable with the rest of the foursome. That's what I think," added Spackler, scratching his chest.

The 2005 Carl Spackler Open begins in 23 days.  Tee times have been adjusted for Friday along with contests moved back to Thursday and Saturday.  Check out the latest itinerary online for more.
