GLEN ALLEN, VA — Mike Herron's first ever Spackler Tour Event started dry, but quickly turned into a back nine downpour. Despite the water, Scott Zavinski did his own pouring. He poured in 60 points.

Zavinski shot a near record 37 strokes on the back nine including a 40 footer for birdie at the 17th. "He looked like a pro for about 2 hours," says Kevin Long, Jr. "I wish that my game was that good in the rain."

Several others attended the event at The Tradition at Crossings. Greg Long dumped several triple bogeys scoring only 22 points and shooting a season-high 91 strokes. "His downswing is too high and he is lifting up," said Trent Cooper time and time again regarding Long's swing. "I felt like a record player as I continued to remind him."

Joe Butkus was another player playing on Sunday. Joe shot a career-low 84 strokes during the downpour. Butkus fired a 5-over 41 on the back nine. Butkus also racked up 56 points towards the 2006 On Tour Championship.

Trent Cooper and Mike Herron narrowly escaped bogey golf with a pair of 89 strokes. Cooper scored 33 points, however Herron poured in 47 points.

"It was a good day for everyone that lives on the course," said Greg Long. "I hope these games continue throughout the summer and especially in Clayton, NC. Unfortunately, Mike Herron has one green hat."
