Practice Round Waves

December 15, 2006

JACKSON, MI — The Captains Club announced today the traditional Wednesday Practice Round will return for its 6th straight year, but offered in two separate waves. The two sets of tee times will accommodate the highlighted entertainment along with late arrivals.

The Beach Bar on the eastern shore of Clark Lake will host a live band with the stage outside on the patio. The live music, weather permitting, starts at 5:00PM and ends around 9:00PM EST.

The last tee time during the morning wave is scheduled for 11:30AM EST. The wave size, dependent on interest, is expected to start around 10:15AM EST.

"The Beach Bar parties occur on Wednesday and Sunday during the summer season," says Captains Club member Jason Watson. "The morning wave is offered for the interested. The traditional afternoon wave, which starts at 1:30PM is available for additional attendees."

Both waves of the Practice Round include range balls and cart for $40.00.

The Captains Club and Super 8 Motel are offering a record-low rate on Tuesday night of $28.00, which includes all taxes. "We are basically offering a full day of golf, breakfast and entertainment for $68.00," added Watson. "Sounds like a no-brainer to me."

The Welcome Party at the Beach Bar will continue through 9:00PM EST. The large bar and restaurant is currently being renovated. The Beach Bar contains a foozball table, pool table, stage, large outdoor patio, screened-in porches and three bars.

The Practice Round option will be available starting March 8. Golfers will be asked to select either the morning wave, afternoon wave or no thanks.
