HAVERTOWN, PA — Grady Walters, who has not posted a scorecard since 2004 Carl Spackler Open, has signed to play 54 holes over Labor Day Weekend.  His decision comes after seeing the opportunity to play with Jason Watson and Brian Long.

Walters, Watson, Brian Long, and Greg Long are scheduled to play Olde Homestead Golf Club just outside Allentown, PA on Saturday, September 4.  The foursome is scheduled to continue playing just south at Golden Oaks on Sunday, September 5.  Golden Oaks is located just outside Reading, PA.  Sources close to Spackler say 36 holes on Sunday is definitely possible.

"I really like the opportunity," says Walters.  "With these courses as possible venues for the 2005 Open, I consider it an opportunity."  Walters has played 4 rounds of golf this season and currently sits in 34th place for the On Tour Championship.  He also played tied for 28th place in the 2004 Carl Spackler Open.

Walters has seen inconsistent rounds all season with 95 strokes and 121 strokes.

Finally, the Red Zone Alert started quietly last Monday.  The Alert is in place for 44 more days and all players.  Players are asked to be smart and play smart.
