WARREN, PA — Richard Myers (i.e. Dick), a Pennsylvanian for 56 years in Warren, PA just completed his 5th year of amateur golf.  With this type of experience on his belt, Richard has decided to enter amateur tournament golf and registered last week in hopes of bringing the Golden Jacket back to Warren.  Or at least opening a can of woop ass on his son.

Richard's fall registration generates hope that a complete set of kitchen passes is in reach by the 2004 Carl Spackler Open deadline on January 2.

"I don't think I can explain how I feel?, after Richard registered. "I decided early on this year that I was going to play golf competitively and prepare to beat my son Jamie."  Jamie Myers, CEO and member of the Captains Club is one of the easiest golf conquests since 2001 in Myrtle Beach.  This type of goal should be manageable even by a rookie.

"Never in million years did I ever think twice about playing in such a prestigious group and god willing play in a major championship", said Richard Myers.  "I think about the 2004 Spackler Open every day.  I plan to take the appropriate opportunities at Jackson Valley and Cable Hollow, get my vacation filed and get my check mailed."
