VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — William Harwell of Virginia Beach has signed a national letter-of-intent to play golf at the 2011 Carl Spackler Open Championship, Mike Trojanowski of the Captains Club announced today. There are numerous reports out of Norfolk that suggest the rookie has his house in order and is ready to capture his first Golden Jacket.

"This should be a great arena to show off my skills," says Harwell of the golf tournament. "I have sent my wife out this weekend to shop for a trophy case."

A reporter asked, "The tournament field appears very strong this year. What makes you so confident?"

Harwell replied, "I think competitive success starts inside your home. You cannot even consider competing without a house in order."

The reporter looked puzzled. He replied, "Can you elaborate?"

Harwell said, "Order. Is your house in order? I meet so many people and their situations and think, 'Your house is not in order. Who is running your house anyway?' Success at almost anything requires focus and a house in order. Look at Tiger Woods as an example; a man who cannot win because his house is no longer in order."

The reporter asked, "Are you serious? Does your wife pregnant and without shoes?"

Harwell said, "No and No. Everyone in my house knows how high to jump and when to jump. My golf game is in great shape and believe my chances are very good to win the tournament. I wear a 44 regular if you are taking jacket measurements."

William Harwell is 7-year Virginian with a very low +9.0 stroke handicap. He averages exactly 3 double bogeys, 8 bogeys, and 6 pars per round. Willam is expected to receive 2 points for bogey, 4 points for par, and 8 points for birdie at the Carl Spackler Open.

The 2011 Carl Spackler Open will be held at Mountain Valley Golf Course in Barnesville, PA. There are 96 participants scheduled to participate in the 54-hole golf tournament.
