New Website Release

March 31, 2011

COLUMBUS, OH — PostStats.com, the premier amateur sports entertainment website, announced today version 2 will be available Sunday, April 3, 2011. The 5-year old portfolio of websites including Golfapalooza.com will be retired.

Poststats.com will be implementing a new release on Friday, April 1, 2011. The portfolios of websites (Golfapalooza.com and other event websites) are expected to be unavailable between Friday, April 1, 2001 and Sunday, April 3, 2011.

There are four large concept changes surrounding the new release.

(1) The Virtual Tournament, golf course directory, and golfer memberships are removed from Golfapalooza.com leaving a golf trip website with participants.

(2) Individual golfer pages (profile, administration and scorecards/statistics not related to an event) are relocated to Poststats.com. A signed-in golfer can be directed to his/her personal web page by clicking “My Poststats.com” at the top of any web page.

(3) The traditional scorecard entry for golfer handicapping purposes is relocated to Poststats.com. Golfapalooza participants, who are signed-in, must click “My Poststats.com” to locate the traditional link for “scorecard entry”.

(4) There are private and public events. Golfers can be invited to a future Golfapalooza, but all golfers must register online for each future golf trip. The website administrators will decline or accept desired registrations as actual participants.

"Every single keystroke of programming from the old portfolio of websites has been reprogrammed into Java," says Greg Long. "The transition to Java has been a long 4-year process."

The new release of Poststats.com and its websites include thousands of changes and enhancements.

"The largest enhancement inside the Poststats.com release is the redesign of 9-hole golf league functionality," says Greg Long. "Future goals include Poststats.com golfers having their personal webpage with the ability to build and manage their own golf buddies. The ability for each golfer to share scorecards and other golf information is key. Golfapalooza.com will experience a navigation overhaul this spring."

The group of websites including Golfapalooza.com have been tested in detail, however there are going to be unexpected errors as the transition occurs.

Greg Long would appreciate negative feedback (hopefully with positive suggestions) and appreciate hearing about website errors (hopefully with website URL and maybe a summary of steps that caused the error).
