A Christmas Wish
November 12, 2003
WINSTON-SALEM, NC — The Carl Spackler Open is scheduled to be played in 210 days. "It's time to start thinking about the money", said CFO Rick Dosky. Each player is required to pay $120 before January 2, 2004.
"Too many of these guys wait until the last minute", said Dosky. "It truely costs them. Christmas is only six weeks away and our deadline is a quick holiday weekend later."
Matt Davis (i.e. Pokey), Vice-President of Kitchen Pass Allocation released a quick statement for the Captain?s Club, "It is important to put your entry fee on your Christmas list. What gift would be better from the wife then your downpayment?" This goes for the single players. Our tournament will be a great opportunity, but will not be free so make sure that your mother is aware."
All players will be required to register through the Spackler Business Office by returning their letter of intent with a check. Invites are scheduled to be mailed on November 15, 2003.
January 2, 2004 will be the absolute deadline for tournament registration. The deadline has been established as a means for our department to count the number of serious players interested in this year?s major and for our office to make appropriate accommodations on January 3, 2004. Checks received after the deadline will be returned and the intended player will forfeit any right to attend the 2004 Carl Spackler Open Championship.
The 2004 Carl Spackler Open Championship is scheduled to begin on June 10, 2003 at Tanglewood Park in Winston-Salem, NC. The total cost for the tournament is $329, which will also be the first prize.
