Virginia Beach Enters Field
Mr. Bogey

April 17, 2008

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA — Trent Cooper beat buddy Jean Dore for the first time of the short season on Sunday, shooting a 'sandbagging' 22-over 94 at the Signature at West Neck. The round was good for a one-stroke four-point victory.

"It was very nice putting Jean in his place," said Cooper after his round. "Jean needs to be humbled with my impressive game. I recommend it for everyone once or twice a year."

Trent, who was Mr. Bogey on Sunday, carded 10 bogeys and 6 double bogeys in 18 holes. "I would characterize the round as a very strong 94," said Cooper. "Strong means 10 boring putts inside a foot or two. Jean was all over the place."

Cooper shot 5-over 77 using USGA Handicap System. "The course played a little tough with the wind," said Cooper. "My new muscular frame is still working out the kinks with my golf swing."

Jean Dore carded 7 bogeys and 4 double bogeys, however his saving grace continued to be multiple pars. He poured in 4 of them.

Cooper jumps into a tie for 8th position inside the season-long Virtual Tournament with 52.0 points per round. Jean Dore continues to struggle after wussy rounds at Owl's Creek Family Fun Center.

The 2008 Virtual Tournament has heated up and will become very busy in two weeks. Andy Hanks has grabbed the lead with 63.3 points per round. The Long brothers and Kyle Marti plan to play an early morning round on Saturday before heading to Happy Valley. There are 13 golfers on the Tournament Leaderboard.
